I want to tell you how excited and honored I am to have been named the President of the Animal Rescue League of Boston. As the eighth president of an organization with such a long and proud history, I am inspired to be part of a mission focused on enriching the humanity of our society.
Over these past few weeks, I’ve had heartfelt conversations with League employees, some of whom have spent 20, 30 and even over 40 years providing care and comfort to the animals we rescue and shelter. Their dedication to the ARL of Boston’s mission is amazing.
I’ve also met dozens of volunteers including members of the Board and Overseers who give an extraordinary amount of time, treasure and talent to the League including directly caring for the animals we shelter. We simply could not do what we do without this tremendous outpouring of support.
I look forward to working with staff and volunteers as we strengthen this incredible institution so that it continues to provide humane care and protection to domestic animals and wildlife for years to come.
