Looking for a dog friendly Halloween event in the city? On Saturday, October 27, Washington Gateway Main Street along with several other South End organizations and businesses will be hosting the second annual Halloween Festival in Blackstone Square. There will be a dog costume contest starting at 1pm, so dress your dog and join in on the fun. There will be no registration for the costume contest. There will be a table set up to display contest information and prizes and judges will be walking around handing out numbers to their favorite dogs. An Animal Rescue League of Boston staff member will be a judge on the dog costume contest panel of judges and the ARL of Boston will have a table at the event throughout the day. In honor of Adopt-A-Dog-Month we will be selling pumpkins for our “Pup-kin” Patch.
Bring your pups and bring your kids for pumpkin decorating, face-painting and treats. Enjoy some live music by The Pennies and Kina Zore and indulge in some delicious eats from several food trucks including, Go Fish, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, Bon Me, and The Cookie Monstah.
