The 162 Animals rescued from the condemned house in Plymouth need your help! We are in need of monetary contributions as well as in-kind donations to help us care for 13 species of animals rescued from the Plymouth house. All of the 162 animals are in the care of the Animal Rescue League of Boston and it is extremely costly for us to care for them. We’re most in need of the following 50lb. bags of food:
- Lamb Finisher $13.85
- Sunshine Pellets $25.20
- Coarse 14 $14.65
- Gamebird Crumbles $18.15
- Layer Pellets $15.50
- Rabbit pellets $16.50
The above listed foods can be purchased at most any grain store including Gilmore’s in Walpole, Hanson Grain in Hanson, Ferrestein’s in Foxboro, and any Agway type of store.
Donations may be dropped off at our Boston Shelter (Friday-Sunday 1-4pm) and at our Dedham Shelter (today until 6.30 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-5:30pm).

Any donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you for helping us care for these neglected animals!

do we just click on the general donate button to give money or is there a certain button to donate to this?
Hello Heather. You can donate to these animals online with this link! http://www.arlboston.org/plymouthanimals Thanks for your support!
I live on outer Cape Cod so dropping off donations in Dedham or Boston is not easy. However, can chicken grain and other grain be purchased at my local Orleans Agway store, but picked up by you at an Agway near your location? Or, can I call your local Agway and purchase grain over the phone for you to pick up, or, can donations be brought to the Brewster ARL that can then get up to you?
How many chickens are now orphaned? Age and breed?
Judy
i was absolutely heart broken when i read the story. I’ll be sure to make an on-line donation since i don’t have transportation to drop off donations.
@nolnacsjJudy Scanlon Thank you so much for your interest and questions. Your feed donation can be brought to our Brewster location. We have someone who drives between the various shelters and can bring the donation to Dedham.
As far as the chickens go, I’m waiting on the details and will post how many chickens, age & breed as soon as I have that information. Thank you for your support.
@Kim We appreciate your donation.
I will be sure to make a dotantion either to the center directly or on line for the bunnies-rabbitts.How many rabbits are there that were rescued?
I was out of town for the past few days and just read this. My husband and I live in Dedham and we will come by tomorrow with supplies from your list. We’re happy to help in any additional ways as well!
In response to some of your questions about the animals. Here’s the info that I have. @nolnacsjJudy Scanlon 19 adult chickens including Americana, Rhode Island Red and one Barred Rock. @Joyce Michelle Cohen 8 rabbits

Thank you for the update. Are they old hens, or 1 year, 2 year? We might be able to take the hens IF they are young hens. However, after two years they slow down on egg production, and we sell eggs at our farm stand and need reliable layers. We cannot take roosters, we already have too many of those!

Hey there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was
wondering if you knew where I could find a captcha plugin
for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?
Thanks a lot!
