Capitol’s Katy Perry started off her pop career with a bang with her album One of the Boys selling 5 million copies. It featured three Billboard top ten songs, which could only be matched by her sophomore album Teenage Dream which topped the Billboard 200 chart and had five number one singles! Both albums have been followed with major tours, the second of which (her California Dreams Tour) grossed nearly $60 million worldwide. Katy has been nominated for 8 Grammys and has won many awards including seven MTV Platinum Video Plays Awards and eight Billboard Year-End Chart Awards. FUN. was originally signed by indie label Fueled by Ramen, then picked up by Roadrunner/Atlantic Records. They’ve released two albums, “Aim and Ignite” in 2009 and “Some Nights” this year. Mega-anthem hit “We Are Young” from “Some Nights” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It also was also featured on the smash TV series Glee.
